A Grade 2 listed farm building with outbuildings. The client’s brief was to provide a feature entrance to the property. Through divisions of the surrounding land by previous owners the front entrance had become confused and a new entrance area was required. Allied to this is the creation of a link through to the existing outbuildings which were converted into new accommodation.
Through discussions with the planners and due to its Grade 2 listing it was proposed that the new proposal should be easily recognisable as an addition.
The new extensions are of oak frame construction with glass to add transparency so the frame can be appreciated and light can penetrate the interior.
